August 6, 2018 Press News

Pacific Pearl has announced that three more restaurants will open at the Pleasanton center this summer.

“As we move closer to the (July 21) grand opening at Pacific Pearl, we are welcoming even more new tenants to our lineup – all hand-selected to provide an authentic and truly amazing Asian experience,” Heath McCue, senior director of marketing for the center, said in a statement.

The center, anchored by 99 Ranch Market, is located on Pleasanton’s eastern edge, south of Interstate 580 at Fallon Road and Stoneridge Drive. Food/dessert options already in operation include Fiery Shanghai, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, 85 Degree Bakery Cafe, Basil Delight, Mumu Hot Pot, Poke Moana, Sugar Dynasty and the Snowflake Dessert House.

— Jinya Ramen Bar is part of a growing Los Angeles-based chain — with 33 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada — that made San Jose’s Oakridge Mall its first Northern California. Tomonari Takahashi, the son of a restaurateur who operated an izakaya in Japan, opened the first of his seven Tokyo restaurants, Sabakuro Ebisu, in 2000 and his first Jinya Ramen Bar in the United States in 2010. The signature dish is Tonkotsu Black, a pork-based broth with pork chashu, kikurage (wood ear mushrooms), dried nori, seasoned egg, garlic chips, garlic oil and spicy sauce. Late June opening expected.
