Swizzle Chill: JINYA Ramen Bar opening at Pike and Rose
The Jinya Ramen Bar Grand Opening at Pike & Rose is August 7, 2018
JINYA Ramen Bar is opening at the Pike & Rose luxury, mixed-use, lifestyle development in North Bethesda, Md., August 7, the company has reported. The much-anticipated debut will be August 7; the store will be the chain’s third in the Washington, D.C. area. JINYA already operates locations on 14th Street in D.C. and at the Mosaic Development in Fairfax County. The ramen chain is known for specializing in Tonkotsu ramen, and its take on ramen is medley of influence from both eastern and western cultures.
The grand opening of JINYA Ramen Bar is at 11 a.m. and the ramen bar will be holding, at which time there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony. Also, the first 100 guests will receive a free bowl of ramen that morning. A portion of the first day’s proceeds will go to Manna in Montgomery County, Md. Locally, Manna is well-known for its work in fighting hunger and it provides hunger relief in various forms, including operating food banks and satellite food pick-up locations around the county.
The five different broths served offer variety for ramen lovers and guests have a choice of thin, thick, extra thick, and spinach noodles, with over 25 different toppings to choose from.
JINYA also offers popular ramen delights, such as the Spicy Chicken Ramen, Slurp Up Cilantro Ramen, Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen, and the garlic-centric “Cha Cha Cha.” Guests have also given a big thumbs up to its Salmon Poke mini tacos, JINYA Bun, Brussels Sprouts Tempura with truffle oil, Takoyaki, JINYA Quinoa Salad, and various rice bowls and curry selections.
“We look forward to being part of this growing, vibrant community for many years to come.”
Seating will be available for up to 74 guests, including 10 seats at the bar and 18 outdoor seats centered around an outdoor fire pit in the patio. “We absolutely love the strong sense of community and everything that Pike & Rose has to offer. We look forward to being part of this growing, vibrant community for many years to come,” said JINYA Ramen Bar’s Hoang Nguyen.
Check out the local and Japanese-inspired drinks. Local and craft beers, wine and spirits will be available to quench the summer thirst. Beers will spotlight local breweries, including Manor Hill Brewing from Ellicott City, to show support for the flood-damaged community. Japanese-influenced cocktails, sake, whisky and wine will also be available.
A Japanese-designed Highball machine, distributed by Japanese whisky brand Suntory Toki, will produce the Whisky Highball cocktail selection coming to this location—the first in D.C.—in the near future. Housemade tea and non-alcoholic beverages are also good picks to accompany the slurp-worthy ramen.
